How Long Does it Take to Complete the GEC
You don’t want to sign up to a course that is going to take you forever to complete. Fortunately, there is no set time scale for the GEC, meaning that everyone can advance at his or her own pace. It normally takes around 100 hours to complete the course. Once registered you cannot take the exam within the first six weeks – and you wouldn’t want to anyway – and you must have taken it within a year. Exams are once a month so all you need to do is sign up for one when you are ready. If for whatever reason you cannot do the exam within 12 months then contact NRG Expert and let us know. How Much Does it Cost to Do the GEC?
One of the main concerns people have when deciding to engage in further study is money. The GEC costs £330 and this is a one-off payment. This fee covers all of your study materials, the handbook & study guide, payment for the examination and your certificate when you successfully complete the course. As the course is 100% online, you won’t need to spend money on relocating or travelling to and from and establishment everyday, making this a very economical choice of course. The only extra cost will be incurred in the case of failing the exam. Then you will need to pay £175 to re-sit.
What are the Entry Requirements for the GEC?
If you were worried that you might not be able to take the GEC because you don’t have a background in energy then rejoice. There are no requirements for the GEC, other than an interest in developing your knowledge of the energy industry. This makes the course accessible for everyone, regardless of their previous education.
